Nishi Shah

Before joining Lighting Design International in 1996, Nishi studied Architectural Engineering at Leeds University. After graduating, and with a passion for architectural design, she worked as a structural engineer before turning her focus to lighting. She completed a MSc in Light and Lighting at The Bartlett, UCL in London before embarking on a career in lighting design.
Nishi heads up a team of talented designers, leading the design on a variety of prestigious projects in the UK and abroad, ranging from large office developments to resort hotels, spas and large residential developments. Her work includes the award-winning Ham Yard Hotel in London which was recognised at the 39th Lighting Design Awards in 2015 and a luxurious private residence in Knightsbridge which won Merit at the IES Illumination Awards in 2014 and was shortlisted in the WIN Awards 2014. Other prestigious projects include Hotel Cafe Royal, L'Oscar hotel, Four Seasons Hotels in Antibes, the Hilton Resort Hotel in Mauritius, One Hyde Park Residences, various Superyachts and The Peak office development in Victoria, London.
