Winner of the Lighting for Leisure award

Posted by Lighting Design International on 22 Mar 2012

Last night the 10th annual Lighting Design Awards took place at the London Hilton, Park Lane. More than 700 of the country’s leading lighting designers, manufacturers and architects gathered to celebrate another successful year in the industry.

We are pleased to announce that Lighting Design International have won the prestigious Lighting for Leisure Award for their work on ESPA Life at Corinthia at the Awards.  The Judges described the project as a “fantastic lighting designer’s response to a challenging interior”.

Senior Designer Ellie Greisen designed a creative scheme which complemented the differing mood of each of the four individually designed floors of the spa.  The client experience is the focal point of the design, with mood and ambience being the driving forces of both the interior design and the lighting design.

The LDI team enjoyed a nostalgic photo gallery, a casino, a giant Scalectrix track, interactive light art and of course a photo booth to capture moments from the night.  The after-party entertainment carried on until 3am with a DJ and a packed dance floor!

Congratulations Ellie!  To see more information on this award winning project, click here.
