The Best at May Design Series - Haberdashery

Posted by Heather Allen on 3 Jun 2015

May is always a busy time for the design industry with the creative crowd coming out of winter hibernation to see what’s new and cutting edge in the coming season. This year was no exception with the May Design Series and Clerkenwell Design week taking over London and injecting some much needed ‘sunshine’ into London.

Although there is always a lot to take in, the Haberdashery display at the May Design Series was a clear standout in the lighting department, displaying eye catching installations that play with light, colour and texture to create a captivating display.

Haberdashery is a London based design consultancy who create innovative products, light sculptures and R &D for clients both in the UK and abroad. Always pushing the boundaries and creating narrative driven designs, Haberdashery is a key player in light sculpture and innovation.

6ths is a striking piece with strong geometric lines that interplay with a colour changing light sequence to create a dynamic sculpture.

Disco disco is a collaborative piece that was brought to fruition by Haberdashery. This programmable piece has been designed to be sound responsive, from a click of a finger to a full orchestral piece. Being a modern interpretation of the much loved disco ball it is guaranteed to full a space with a magical play of light.

We are fortunate enough to be working on two projects with Haberdashery, keep an eye out on our blog for a chance to see some of their latest work.

Definitely one to watch on the world stage of light sculpture and design.
